Meet Dr. Daijah Dowe
Dr. Daijah Dowe is a veterinarian licensed in the states of Virginia and Maryland. Dr. Dowe Graduated with a Bachelors of Animal Science, a Bachelors of Laboratory Animal Science, and a Biotechnology degree from NC A&T State University in 2014. She was captain of her equestrian team and equestrian club with Western Pleasure being their discipline. After graduation Dr. Dowe was awarded a scholarship to attend veterinary school at Tuskegee College of Veterinary Medicine through USDA APHIS Veterinary Services.
While Dr. Dowe was hitting the books, she made time to do other fun things such as helping to eradicate disease in cattle, testing foreign animals for diseases, volunteering with World Vets in Thailand and Nicaragua with horses, dogs, and elephants, and even helped manage quarantine areas for horses at the World Equestrian Games of 2018 in NC.
Dr. Dowe graduated from Tuskegee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019 and took a position in Miami Florida with USDA where she continued to work with equine in quarantines both federal and non-federal. Here she monitored and tested equine for foreign disease and fell more in-love with the different attitudes of the horses. Dr. Dowe also helped at other quarantines around the U.S. such as New York and Chicago and at shows such as Caribbean classic in Florida.
In 2022 Dr. Dowe got married and moved to Virginia where she began her journey back to working with small animals through working for the Army. Here her main mission is Military Working Dogs as well as personally owned animals owned by military families.
Dr. Dowe has treated and observed a lot of animals throughout the years and has wanted to do more to help with their movement whether that be a runner jumper horse, a dog with a demanding job, or a companion animal. Dr. Dowe went searching for options and decided animal chiropractic care was the way to go!
Dr. Dowe attended Options for Animals College of Animal Chiropractic in 2023. Shortly after she opened Jump With Joy Chiropractic and is now excited to say she is certified by the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association! Dr. Dowe will be helping small animals for now and will be adding equine in the very near future. Chiropractic services will be separate from her daily job as it will be conducted through Jump With Joy Chiropractic. With this all animals both apart of military families and non-military families will be able to benefit from her services!
Dr. Dowe is now open for service and cannot wait to assist you and all of your fur babies!
