At this time we will be treating primarily dogs. Horses and cats to be added soon!
The number of visits needed varies depending on the current state of the patient and the individual needs of the patient. Some patients may see results after just one visit, while others may require multiple visits. Follow-up recommendations will be provided in patient report.
During your first visit, we will discuss the patients' medical history and any current symptoms or concerns you may have about the patient. We will also review the primary veterinarian notes as far as diagnosis and radiographs if completed. Posture analysis, spinal temperature, static palpation, and gait analysis will also be completed as well as before images. Chiropractic adjustment will also be completed.
We have the right to postpone adjustment until radiographs are completed if deemed necessary after evaluation. If occurs pricing for initial examination remains the same. Follow-up pricing is always less than initial examination.
All pets whether healthy or experiencing abnormalities can benefit from chiropractic care. For healthy patients care is used to maintain proprioception as well as correct subtle subluxations caused by microtraumas helping to prevent muscle and joint abnormalities in the future. This helps healthy pets continue to enjoy their daily activities with minimal future pain or discomfort.
With chiropractic adjustments patients can feel immediate results such as difference in gait, sitting more comfortable, decrease in muscle spasms/twitches on palpation. Sometimes results can take 24 to 72hrs for owners to see.
Generally no. However, if patient is currently experiencing pain in a specific area adjustment at that specific area may be painful or uncomfortable. If a specific area is very painful on palpation area may be motioned but not adjusted. Area would be re-assessed at next appointment usually painful areas at follow-ups are less painful and can be adjusted then due to relieving tension by adjusting above and below painful area at previous appointment.
It is never too late to get your pet moving better! Goals will always be different for every patient depending on age and current health status.
